Barney’s Beanery: (West Hollywood) In L.A., most people assume nothing might better as it ages. But the city’s third-oldest restaurant (located at 8447 Santa Monica Blvd. near La Cienaga Blvd.) is able to prove everyone in Hollywood wrong. Since opening its door nearly 90 years ago, enables attracted celebrities to regular Joe-shmoes who crave good ol’ comfort food (your choice of 150 different burgers, 65 chilis and 90 omelettes). Parking is free and there’s really no fee for the pier or beaches.
Imagine a chicken dinner so good that a theme park was built around it and you will have the chicken dinner at Knott’s Berry Farms. A trip to the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip is a smart way to spend an evening in D.A.
