Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Beach
A helicopter hovering near a well-attended coastal beach suddenly started spinning wildly, eventually dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as onlookers looked on.
Videos posted on the internet depict the helicopter starting to spin over Huntington Beach then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on that day.
Three persons on the street were injured. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
